* The word “Latterlig” means “ridiculous” in Danish.

*The University of Latterlig’s motto (Credo Quia Absurdum) translates to “I believe it because it is absurd”.

*Chuck’s odd tee-shirt with the purple can of soup is actually a band tee-shirt of his favorite band “Purple Soup”. “Purple Soup” is fictional .

*Lenore’s stirring speech about freshmen in comic #2 is completely ripped off from Winston Churchill’s “Blood, Sweat, Toil, and Tears” speech he delivered during World War 2. If you want to check out the real deal, look it up here.

*Think Dos looks and talks a little oddly?  That’s because she’s not all together human. Dos is an android made in Silicon Valley, California (Palo Alto). Her ability to analyze her surroundings is sometimes hindered by “preternatural interference”.

*Delaney Lupe’s scar on his left cheek is from a fight he got into at Flynn’s Pub his freshman year.

*Flynn’s Pub is named after “Flynn’s Arcade” from the movie Tron.

*Delaney Lupe is actually half-Latino and half-Native American. He was born in Mexico and lived there until about the age of seven, when his parents moved him and his three siblings to Colorado to be closer to his mother’s parents.

*Charlie Flood and Chuck Norman have been best friends since pre-school, when Charlie saved Chuck from being thrown in a dumpster by the school bully.

*Brianne Stroud is an only child.

*Temperance and Bruce Stroud wanted to send Brianne to a rich, private college in New England. Brianne applied to the University of Latterlig in secret and was accepted before her parents could do anything about it.

*Charlie may dress like a baseball player, but he’s never even picked up a bat.

*Out of TWELVE children, Chuck is #7.  He and the very youngest child, Camden, are the only boys.

*Booker’s real name IS actually Edward (Edward Booker Dean). He started using his middle name after the Twilight movies came out. It just freaked him out too much.
